"Stayed here with my large family for Spring Break. Great hotel. Elegant and historic. Breakfast was great. The staff was tremendous - most especially Antonio who took care of our every need, and even offered to make himself available on his day off. Great views of the Ben Franklin Bridge, and awesome location in the Old City. Easy walk to the main tourist attractions. Loved it, and wouldn't stay anywhere else on future trips to Philly. " I arrived at the hotel quite stressed over a lost passport. The staff were so warm and helpful that it made all the difference in my experience. They accommodated my request regarding computer software assistance and were on top of the details I needed. One staff wanted to make sure that I did not miss the breakfast buffet and I was so glad that she did. It had fresh fruit, scones, eggs, pastries and was just lovely. I have never bothered to write a review before but this place deserves it." Expedia guest - February 24, 2013
“We had a most enjoyable few days at this very attractive hotel. Owner and staff were friendly and attentive. Location was perfect as we were able to walk to the city's historic attractions. With many fine restaurants in the immediate vicinity we only had one dinner in the hotel's Ristorante Panorama, and that was excellent. By the way this hotel/restaurant is a must for the wine connoisseur.”

“We've stayed here several times and always had a good experience. Great location, walking distance to everything. Good restaurants in the neighborhood but what we love about this hotel is that, thanks to the quality on-site restaurant, you can have a wonderful romantic dinner, complete with wine flights, delivered to your room.”

“This hotel was just wonderful. Quaint old world charm, spacious rooms and excellent service. Breakfast was delicious and more than adequate. Right in the heart of the historic district it is perfectly situated to take advantage of Philadelphia’s attractions. It is also close to a range of eateries offering the famous Philly cheese sliders. This hotel offers great value.”

“Best hotel we stayed at in a good number of years. Right on the river and lot's of public transportation. The room was very nice and had everything we needed. The wine bar was a nice cozy place where you didn't have to yell when talking to someone. The continental breakfast was awesome and part of the room fees. Great variety and very fresh.”

I stumbled onto Penn's View during a business trip after my reservations at another hotel got screwed up. I discovered a hidden gem. A converted warehouse built in the early 1800's, it has many features that remind me of hotels where I have stayed in Europe. Each room is unique, the restaurant is great and, unlike where I was suppose to stay, the complementary breakfast was on real china. And the staff was more than professional. During my stay, a special business need came up and the Front Office Manager, Antonio Conrado did more than go out of his way to accommodate us. All this, with a perfect location near the river and the historical district, and right next to public transportation. It will be the only hotel I use when I go to Philly from now on.
