This elegant, deep gold wine is vinified from native Sicilian grapes grown at 750m elevation on the rich, volcanic soils of Mt Etna. The Isolanuda shines especially brightly with food and serves as tasty pairing partner with seafood and summer tomatoes, featured so prominently on our seasonal menu. Delicate almond and pear aromatics lead harmoniously to pleasantly bitter stone fruits, peach pit, apricot skin and citrus oil on the palate, delivering amazing depth of flavor for a wine that sees no oak and measures 12.5% alcohol. Undergoing a cold maceration on the lees and a controlled 10 day fermentation for extra texture and intensity, only 850 cases were produced from this modern facility on a site that references a history of winemaking back to the 1800s.
