Join us for a casual happy hour celebrating Women in Wine! Guests will be offered a special selection of 1/2-priced wines from an all-star lineup of female winemakers.
This event will be co-hosted by 3 of Philadelphia's own leading women in wine:
• Megan Storm ~ The Artisan's Cellar, PA Wine Importer and Distributor
• Lauren Harris ~ GM/Sommelier Townsend (opening April 2014)
• Gordana Kostovski ~ Sommelier/Beverage Director at Volvér Garces Group (opening April 2014)
We will silently screen (with English subtitles) a special documentary “Senza Trucco: Women and Natural Wine”. Giulia Graglia and Marco Fiumara conceived, produced, and directed Senza Trucco (Without Makeup) , which gives a portrait of four Italian women who produce organic and biodynamic wines. The women speak to the camera as they go about their seasonal work in their vineyards. The film previewed at the 14th Environmental Film Festival held in Turin in June 2011 (Festival Cinemambiente) and won first prize at Siciliambiente Festival, held in Sicily in July 2011.
