CELEBRATION OF FREEDOM CEREMONY
Steps of Independence Hall, 6th & Chestnut Streets
10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Pay tribute to our great nation at the Celebration of Freedom Ceremony featuring music, inspiring remarks, and a reading of excerpts from the Declaration of Independence – among other special elements. This year’s ceremony will recognize the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the 60th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board Supreme Court decision.


PHILADELPHIA INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
Throughout Historic Philadelphia
11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Witness more than 5,000 participants as they celebrate America’s birthday by marching through the nation’s most historic square mile.

LET FREEDOM RING
Independence Square, 5th & Market Streets
1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
The ceremony starts on Independence Square and concludes with the symbolic Liberty Bell tapping.

PARTY ON THE PARKWAY
Benjamin Franklin Parkway, 20th Street to Eakins Oval
12 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Philly really knows how to throw a party! America’s birthday continues with blocks and blocks of exciting activates, multiple music stages, games and food.
